Revolutionizing PK/PD Analysis through the Development of Modeling Software and Training
Bayesian statistics and PKPD modelling have been two independent disciplines and both have been highly used in drug development. I shall illustrate examples in which both methodologies are combined to strengthen the design, information, estimation and prediction. In addition, how to incorporate / evaluate real world information will be illustrated. Due to the lack of Bayesian software at time of applications, ideas of new computing methods for example Gibbs sampler, MCMC and stan were initiated, which lead to a wide range of other applications in other scientific areas.
