Francis 'Frank' Gibbons PhD is Scientific Director in the DMPK & Modeling group at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he leads a team of talented modelers. With a PhD in physics from Northeastern University, Boston, Mass. he has 25 years' experience applying quantitative techniques to biological problems, the last 17 in diverse aspects of drug development, encompassing genomics, proteomics, DMPK, PK/PD and QSP modeling, pharmacometrics and clinical pharmacology.

Frank has been lucky enough to work across therapeutic areas, including oncology, neuroscience, rare (lysosomal storage) diseases, and gastro-intestinal disease (such as celiac disease, MASH, and MAFLD), as well as modalities such as small molecules, antibodies, PROTACs, various kinds of nanoparticles and gene therapies.
