Trainee
Indiana University School of Medicine
My name is Aislinn O'Kane, I am a doctor of pharmacy by training and a current postdoctoral fellow at the Indiana University School of Medicine in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology. I also work part time as a pharmacist at the Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. My goal is to advance personalized medicine within special patient populations, particularly pediatrics. I hope to improve medication safety overall, by reducing the risk of adverse events, and ensuring more precise doses for patients in the future. I want to play a role in the development of novel therapies which are safe and effective, and optimized to fit each unique patient. I will acheive this using the combination of my clinical skills and my skills in computer programming, modelling and simulation, and statistics skills that I am honing in my current role. I am proud and excited to begin my journey as a clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics researcher.
