Senior Research Scientist
Certara UK, United Kingdom
Bryan W. Holland is a Senior Research Scientist at Certara UK (Simcyp Division) where he works in the mechanistic modelling group, helping to develop and improve pharmacokinetic (PK) models in a variety of areas, but with a focus on ocular models. His educational background is in computational biophysics from the University of Guelph (Canada), where he developed nonequilibrium methods for determining the free energy, diffusion and permeability of complex biological systems. He also worked with experimentalists to combine neutron and X-ray scattering with molecular dynamics simulations to better model properties of lipid bilayers. After a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Calgary (Canada), he went on to work at Simulation Plus for 8 years on a variety of PK products, finishing there as a Principal Scientist before moving onto his current role with Certara.
