Assistant professor
University of Sao Paulo, Brazil
I am an Assistant Professor of Toxicology at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and my research is focused on identifying the determinants of pharmacological response and variability in humans, and the focus is given to the relationship between pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenetics, disease progression, and treatment outcome by pharmacometrics approaches. My laboratory has dedicated years to exploring the diversity in drug reactions and adverse effects in various patient populations suffering from diseases such as cancer, HIV, diabetes, and tuberculosis. I have a broad background in clinical pharmacology, with specific training and expertise in pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics and pharmacometrics, and secondary data analysis and bioinformatics on cancer genomics. I have collaborated with researchers in the most prestigious institutions in Brazil and abroad. I was a member of the organizing committee of several technical-scientific events, besides publishing over 30 scientific papers in international journals with peer review.
