University of Houston
Zicong Zheng is currently a 5th-year Ph.D. candidate at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, majoring in Pharmaceutics. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Fudan University in China. Zicong's research focuses on various aspects, including pharmacokinetics studies, enzyme kinetics and regulation, development of bioanalytical methods (LC-MS/MS), cell models, animal toxicity and efficacy models establishment, and PBPK modeling. During the summer of 2022, she served as an intern at AstraZeneca in the clinical pharmacology department, where she reviewed the immunogenicity incidence of bispecific antibodies. At this year’s ASCPT meeting, Zicong is set to present an ongoing clinical trial, which explores the impact of herbal medicine Xiao-Chai-Hu-Tang on the pharmacokinetic behaviors of irinotecan, raloxifene, and their metabolites in humans through a run-in safety study.
Notably, Zicong is actively seeking work opportunities in the field of DMPK and clinical pharmacology within the pharmaceutical industry.
