Dr. Wilberforce Osei, PharmD, is a leading Pharmacist and Clinical Pharmaceutical Scientist at the IU Simon Cancer Center, Indianapolis, Indiana, specializing in precision genomics. Dr. Osei, a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (2013), furthered his expertise by pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences at Purdue University and a Master of Science in Clinical Research at Indiana University, both of which were completed in May 2024.
Dr. Osei's career highlights include his role as a T32 research fellow at the National Cancer Institute in 2022, emphasizing his commitment to cancer research. Before this, he served as a Lead Pharmacist at Georgetown University Hospital (2016-2020) and has been a pivotal member of the precision genomics team at the IU Simon Cancer Center since 2020. His contributions to pharmacy and patient care were also enriched by his experience as an Adjunct Lecturer at Bowie State University (2014-2020), where he shared extensive knowledge with aspiring healthcare professionals.
In addition to his clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Osei actively participated in academic governance as a Graduate Student Representative for the Grade Appeals Committee at Purdue University, a position he has held since 2021. He has been a member of the ACCP Student, Trainee, and Early-Stage Professional Committee since 2021, demonstrating his dedication to the professional development of early career pharmacists and researchers.
