Zhong Huang is a third-year medical student at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He is researching the feasibility and utility of delivering clinically actionable pharmacogenomic information to clinicians at the bedside.
Prior to medical school, Zhong studied sociology and chemistry at Duke University. Upon graduation in 2019, he spent two years as a consultant to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), where he worked on opioid prescribing clinical decision support. His work was published as part of the ONC Health Information Technology Integration Framework. Zhong is an Albert Schweitzer Fellow and a 2023 Chinese American Medical Society Scholar.
