I am Dr. Ramya Mahadevan, a dedicated and aspiring Pharmacometrician currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Southern California, USA. My journey in the realm of Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Precision Medicine began with a Pharm D degree from The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University in India. This foundational education propelled me into the world of Pharmacometrics, where I have since gained extensive training and multiple certifications.
My professional path was significantly shaped by a pivotal fellowship at Pumas AI, Inc., where I immersed myself in population pharmacokinetics (PK) and prediction analyses. This enriching experience set the stage for my postdoctoral research at the University of North Carolina. Here, I explored physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) and mechanistic pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PKPD) models, specifically focusing on anti-infectives.
In my current role at the University of Southern California, I am deeply engaged in advancing mechanistic PKPD models and PBPK modeling for anti-infectives. My expertise is not just confined to Clinical Pharmacology and Statistical Analysis; I also bring a high level of proficiency in an array of PKPD software tools, including NONMEM, Phoenix, R, Pumas, ADAPT, S-ADAPT, Monolix, and Simbiology.
As I continue to contribute to the field through publications and presentations, my commitment to pushing the boundaries of pharmacometrics and developing patient-specific therapeutic strategies remains unwavering. My goal is to blend innovative research with practical applications to revolutionize the approach to drug therapy and patient care.
