T32 Clinical Pharmacology Fellow
University of California, San Francisco
Andrew Riselli, PharmD is a Clinical Pharmacology Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco. Working in the Giacomini Laboratory, his research focuses on developing innovative safety biomarkers to predict whether new drug candidates will inhibit key transporters involved in pharmacokinetics, resulting in drug-drug interactions and potential toxicity.
Andrew recently completed a clinical study evaluating the use of endogenous substrates of Breast Cancer Resistance Protein (BCRP), an intestinal transporter involved in the absorption of many drugs, as safety biomarkers to effectively predict BCRP inhibition. He is presenting the results of this study as a poster at the ASCPT 2024 Annual Meeting.
In addition to his research, Andrew is actively involved in the ASCPT Regulatory Science community and currently serves on the Steering Committee.
