Rose Gelineau-Morel, MD is a child neurologist and clinical pharmacologist specializing in cerebral palsy and precision therapeutics. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and in the division of neurology and clinical pharmacology at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. Dr. Gelineau-Morel attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, during which time she completed a research year in neuroimaging at the University of Oxford in England. She completed a combined residency in pediatrics and child neurology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and recently completed a T32 Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship at Children’s Mercy Hospital. She was recently awarded a K12 in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology. Her research program focuses on improving the care of children with dystonia and cerebral palsy through implementation of precision therapeutics. Her ongoing studies include identification of predictive neuroimaging biomarkers for dystonia and utilization of pharmacogenomics to guide individualized treatment recommendations for patients with dystonia and cerebral palsy. Dr. Gelineau-Morel was recently honored with an Early Career Investigator spotlight from Pediatric Research for her work on improving recognition and diagnosis of Kernicterus Spectrum Disorders, a common cause of acquired dystonia in cerebral palsy. She joined ASCPT in 2021.
