Dr. Pacanowski is the Director of the Division of Translational and Precision Medicine in FDA’s Office of Clinical Pharmacology. The Division’s translational scientists work across all therapeutic areas to advance drug development for rare diseases and improve the practice of precision medicine by (1) advising drug, biomarker, and in vitro diagnostic developers on scientific and regulatory matters; (2) developing policies related to biomarker and targeted drug development; and (3) conducting research to support regulatory decision-making. Dr. Pacanowski received his Pharm.D. from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (2004) and his M.P.H. from the University of Florida (2008). He completed a residency in clinical pharmacology at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, NY (2005), and a clinical research fellowship in cardiovascular pharmacogenomics at the University of Florida (2008).
